About Us

At Precious Memories, we know that every photo tells a story. That’s why we’re passionate about helping families preserve their most cherished memories, one photo at a time. Our founder, Steph, started this business out of a personal need to preserve her own family’s memories. When she inherited hundreds of old family photos that had been stored away in albums for decades, she realised that these photos weren’t just pieces of paper – they were a link to her family’s past and a way to connect with her loved ones who had since passed away.

With a deep love for photography and a desire to share her passion for preserving memories with others, Steph started Precious Memories. Today, our thriving family-owned business is dedicated to providing the highest quality service to every client we work with.

At Precious Memories, we treat every photo with care and respect. We understand that each photo has a unique story to tell, and we’re honoured to be a part of that story. Our expert team is committed to digitising and restoring your old photos, so you can share them with future generations and keep your family’s precious memories alive.

Whether you’re looking to digitise your old family albums or restore damaged photos, we’re here to help. Contact us today to learn more about our services and how we can help you preserve your family’s most cherished memories.

Our team carefully removes your photos from the sleeves and labels and organises each album in your collection. We ensure that all the photos are in order and correctly rotated to provide a seamless scanning experience.

Sorting Your Photos for Scanning

To ensure that your photos are scanned efficiently and accurately, we recommend following these steps:

  • Sort your prints into sets of 50 to 300 photos based on their relative sizes. This helps to ensure that the scanning process is smooth and organised.
  • Enclose each set of photos in zip-lock bags or plastic sleeves to protect them from damage during the scanning process.
  • Place a note on top of each set of photos with a year and description written or printed on it. This helps us to accurately label and file your photos, making them easily searchable and accessible for future use.

By following these simple steps, you can ensure that your precious memories are digitized with care and precision. If you have any questions about the sorting process or need assistance with your photo scanning project, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Our team is here to help!

Our Process

  1. Consultation: We begin by discussing your requirements and explaining our services to you. During this consultation, we will answer any questions you may have and provide you with an estimated time frame and cost for your project.
  2. Preparation: If you choose to proceed with our services, you can either mail us your photos or drop them off at our studio. Our team will then sort and organize your photos by size and format, removing any dust or debris, and preparing them for scanning.
  3. Scanning: We use professional-grade equipment and software to scan your photos at the highest resolution possible, ensuring that every detail is captured accurately.
  4. Editing: After scanning, we carefully examine each image and perform basic editing, such as dust and scratch removal, colour and contrast correction, and minor retouching. We want your photos to look their best while maintaining their original character and feel.
  5. Delivery: Once the editing is complete, we will provide you with a digital copy of your images on a USB drive or through cloud storage. For those who prefer physical prints, we offer high-quality printing services as well. We will also return your original photos to you in the same condition as when they were received. Our goal is to provide you with a smooth and stress-free experience and deliver your treasured memories in a format that you can enjoy for years to come.
